Sleep should be natural and not be induced by medicines. All these medicines will cause addiction and it will be difficult to sleep without medicines. First a detailed history is needed to find out the trigger factor for insomnia. Cut down tea and coffee in the evenings sleep at the same time daily restrict fluids at night. Then I can suggest you sleep hygiene methods to get natural sleep without medicines. Take a consult to sleep like a baby without medicines.

Dear Lybrate user, It is good that all your test reports are normal. For your sleep difficulties, do the following regularly for the next 7-10 days and you would start feeling slightly better :- 1. Use your bed only for sleeping and for sexual activity. Avoid simply sitting, eating, reading or working on your bed. The brain and body need to know that bed is only associated with sleeping so that when you finally lie down on the bed, your body would know that it is time for you to sleep. 2. Keep away all electronic gadgets like mobile, tabs or laptop atleast 15 minutes before your sleeping time. Give your brain and eyes some cooling off time and come to a relaxed state before sleeping. 3. Set a fixed time for going to bed and waking up in the morning and follow it strictly. Even if you feel that you did not get a good sleep in the night and want to sleep past your waking up time, decide against it and get up on the decided time. 4. Avoid sleeping during the day time. 5. Just before going to sleep, tell yourself that tonight you are going to have a sound sleep and will wake up feeling fresh. 6. Do not keep checking the time again and again if you are unable to fall asleep or wake up during the night as it will make you feel worried unnecessarily. 7. Engage in some physical activity during the day or evening time as only a tired body feels the need for sleep. Hope this would help. Take care.

Good medicine but not 1st choice for anxiety. Was it prescribed by a psychiatrist, if so he must have some reasons, so continue, if not consult a psychiatrist. All the best.
