Hello, Muscle mass can be achieved largely by exercising as per the calories you are supposed to consume. Secondly, stop binging completely on junk foods, ready eat, refined and bakery products. You will always see few people gaining weight inspite of gyming regularly, it could be may they are gaining muscles by eating healthy or gaining fat by no control over junk food. Choice is yours.

If you go to gym/exercise you will build muscle. If you do diet control(eat more protein), you will not put on fat.
