Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I get a feeling that I had answered this or a very similar query, because the PP blood glucose level mentioned was 321 mg. If you are the same person, my answer is again same. There is no special breakfast for lowering blood glucose. Basically when we take any food (which contains carbohydrates) plus also proteins & fat it is bound to increase glucose level. All the items consumed in breakfast like paratha, dosa, idli, upma, poha, bread (including brown bread), cereals etc. All contain starch, hence blood glucose is bound to go up. Even taking only fruits also will increase some amount of glucose. Therefore, what is most important is to control blood glucose with appropriate medication, then take a restricted diet that provides exact amount of calories based on ideal body weight (in your case 75 kgs), extent of daily physical exercise and considering need for weight reduction. Plus increase intake of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits (about 100 g a day). Ideally in good controlled diabetes fasting blood glucose should b e<100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8. This will help in either preventing or postponing long term complications related to diabetes. Otherwise, in an uncontrolled diabetes all the complications can be seen to occur early and with an unexpected severity.
