About Ixabepilone

Ixabepilone is administered intravenously for the treatment of breast cancer. It is a chemotherapy drug and is used for metastatic breast cancer. Ixabepilone belongs to the class of medicines called “antimicrotubule agents”.

It is important to inform your medical expert prior the course of Ixabepilone if you are taking any other prescription drugs, herbal or dietary supplements. The drug is generally not recommended for pregnant or lactating women as there may be potential fatal risks in fetus or infants.
