I am suffering from the problem of hair fall. I am using himalaya hairzone solu. Give a suggestion.
Hair loss, now-a-days, is common among males and females of all age groups. We all lose some hair strands everyday, however, some people lose more than normal strands in a day that can cause severe hair loss. Hair loss is mostly genetic, so if hair loss runs in your family, you are most likely to suffer from hair loss too. Hair loss happens either in clumps, that is overall hair loss, or focussed on any one part of head - especially the crown. While genetics play a big role, some additional factors can aggravate hair loss - hormonal imbalance, Alopecia areata, stress, thyroid disease, anemia, protein deficiency, chemotherapy, and low vitamin levels may cause hair loss in you. Start by following a good diet - Eat adequate amount of protein. Your hair is made up mainly of proteins. Eat eggs, cottage cheese, chicken, soya, lentils, whole grains. Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin B are other important nutrients for great hair health. So include lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your daily diet. Exercise daily to keep yourself healthy inside out. Next important step is to follow good hair care - Oiling your hair with a mixture of oils like olive, sesame, coconut and castor oil keeps provides moisture to your hair and prevent them from drying and breakage. Once in a week apply a good hair mask. You can mix and prepare different types of masks using eggs, green tea, olive oil, milk, gooseberry, thyme, chamomile etc. Condition your hair using organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Rosemary tea once in awhile. A good dermatologist can successfully reduce hair fall by conducting some tests beforehand that includes blood tests, iron level, vitamin B, thyroid function tests and a biopsy of the scalp. Since some hair loss is temporary, your hair will grow back on its own without medical treatment. More serious hair loss can be treated with creams, oral drugs and surgery. Dermatologist can give your head a fuller appearance with the help of hair transplants and scalp reductions, which is successful both in males and females. To determine the best technique for your hair loss issue, consult a good dermatologist.

Dark circles is fairly a common problem many people face. While ageing is the primary cause of dark circles, but with the changing lifestyle, hectic work schedule and poor nutrition, more and more people are facing dark circles. Those who are anemic, have liver disease, poor digestion, stay dehydrated or have a family history of dark circles are more prone to dark circles. Skin around eyes is the thinnest and that is why poor blood circulation in that particular area appears more prominently in the form of blue/black eyes. The best treatment to treat dark circles is to increase oxygen circulation in your body with the help of exercises, yoga. Taking break between hectic work schedule and splashing your eyes with cold water 2-3 times a day is helpful. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, have a balanced diet, eat more iron and zinc containing food like dates, chicken, nuts and dry fruits. Many topical creams that contain kojic acid helps to reduce dark circles but they should taken after consulting a good dermatologist only. Some latest treatments like intense pulsed light therapy, skin resurfacing and injectable fillers give faster and long lasting results, but before you choose one it's important to determine the cause. Visit your nearest dermatologist to determine the root cause of dark circles and find the right treatment.

I am 17 years old and started growing plenty of white hair What should I do to get rid of them?

I am 17 years old and started growing plenty of white hair What should I do to get rid of them?
White Hair or greying hair mainly occurs when your hair follicles stop producing melanin, the pigment that gives hair its color. Though, ageing is the primary reason of grey hair but premature greying of hair in early 20’s or 30’s is now common. Genetic factors, stress, lack of nutrition, chemicals, smoking or any underlying disease like thyroid or anemia can also lead to premature greying of hair. All these factors lead to underproduction or zero production of melanin that leads to grey or white hair. Lack of minerals like zinc, copper is one of the most underestimated yet one of the most analysed reason of grey hair. Turning already grey hair into black is not possible, but you can always control further greying of hair. A balanced diet is the most effective solution to control greying of hair. Include lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, protein rich sources of food in your diet. Load up on food items containing antioxidant and vitamin C like gooseberry, oranges, lemon etc. Try to stay stress free, limit your on-screen time, do exercises and yoga that will increase oxygen in your body and hair. Some cost effective hair care tips at home can also give you wonderful hair and prevent further greying - Give warm oil massage to your hair with different oils like sesame, olive oil, castor oil. Put protein rich hair packs made of egg. If you want to stay chemical free than you can try some natural conditioners like thyme, rosemary tea, chamomile tea or sage tea to rinse your hair post hair wash. Start a good hair regimen by selecting right shampoo and conditioners. A professional hair and scalp analysis to get right hair care products for you is worth than spending time and energy on wrong products. Make a visit to your nearest dermatologist soon to get head turning hair.

Causes And Treatment Of Skin Tags!

Causes And Treatment Of Skin Tags!

Skin tags, also known as acrochordons, are small brown or darker-than-skin tone growths on the surface of the skin. Tags are very common and harmless growths and tend to occur on the neck, under the breasts, armpits, eyelids and folds of the groin. They generally take place after midlife. About 25% of people report having skin tags after they cross the age of 50.

What causes skin tags to occur?

Skin tags are very common among diabetics and obese individuals. Pregnant women also develop skin tags, as a consequence of changes in the body's hormonal levels. Skin tags tend to occur when your skin rubs against clothing or skin. They are normally caused by blood vessels and collagen that gets trapped inside the thicker portions of the skin. For this reason, they are typically found in folds and creases of the skin. Sometimes, they reduce on their own if blood supply to the tissue has been disrupted due to them getting twisted.

What procedures are involved in their treatment?

Skin tags are generally removed for purely cosmetic reasons but when they do become troublesome, as in, they rub against jewelry, skin or clothing, doctors recommend their removal as the area can end up becoming irritated.

The following procedures are performed to remove these annoying growths on skin:

1. Excision - In this procedure the skin tag gets removed using a scalpel.

2. Ligation - The procedure involves the cutting off of blood supply to the skin tag.

3. Cauterization - The procedure involves the burning off the skin tag using electrolysis (process that involves decomposition of a matter by electric current)

4. Cryosurgery - In this procedure, the skin tag is frozen before removing it. An instrument containing liquid nitrogen is used to do the removal.

How To Protect Your Skin In Summer?

How To Protect Your Skin In Summer?

Staying out in the sun too long can cause you to suffer from a host of skin problems such as age spots, wrinkles and even increase your risk of developing skin cancer. During the summer months, you need to take extra care of yourself as the sun is at its peak at that time. Here's what you can do in this summer to ensure that your skin remains protected:

1. Avoid the rays of the sun between 10 am and 2 pm - The strength of the UV rays depends on a number of factors such as reflective surfaces, height, and time of day. The sun's UV rays are at their strongest between 10 am and 2 pm. If you're outdoors, seek a cool area to protect yourself from the damaging rays of the sun. You could stand under a tree or use an umbrella to shield yourself from its ultraviolet rays.

2. Don't use tanning beds - Several studies reveal that tanning beds can cause skin cancer. According to these studies, individuals under 30 who use tanning beds increase their risk of melanoma (the most deadly of all skin cancers) by about 75%.

3. Increase your fluid intake - One of the ways in which you can beat the sun and protect your skin is by increasing your fluid intake during this time. On an average, one should have about 3 liters of fluids every day, which is about 1.5-2 liters of water and 1 liter of fluid from solid foods. From summer foods like watermelon and berries to beverages like fruit juice, milk, etc and liquid-based meals - all these avenues should be considered.

4. Have a proper cleansing regimen - To help your skin look fresh even during the summer months, you should exfoliate regularly. When you do this, all the dead skin cells are removed, giving your face a youthful and fresh appeal.

5. Use a sunscreen all the time - To protect yourself from the damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun, you should never forget to apply sunscreen when going out. Ideally, a sunscreen that has an SPF of 30 should be applied thoroughly to your skin 30 minutes before leaving your house. More importantly, it should be applied again every 2 hours.

Unwanted hair troubles many of us. Though waxing, shaving and tweezing have been used as a successful methods to remove hair for long, but with busy lifestyle and the tension of undergoing pain every month or so makes hair removal a very tedious process. The process is all the more painful for sensitive skins and areas like face, bikini and underarms. Moreover, the post waxing bumps, ingrown hair gives nightmares to many. Laser hair removal is one the best and safest technique to get rid off unwanted area from any part of the body. The technique involves killing the hair follicles from where the hair grows. It requires multiple sitting to complete kill all the follicles but that depends from patient to patient, hair thickness and intensity. One important point to note here is that laser technique are not same for all skin tones. People with darker skin tone have customised laser procedure according to their skin type and different procedure is used for lighter skin tones. Results of laser are best on people with dark, coarse hair and a fair complexion. One of the myths associated with laser hair removal is that - once you get it done, you will stay hair free for all your life, but that is not the case. Hair will grow again after several months of the procedure, but they will be much lesser in intensity and thickness. Before going for laser hair removal, always visit your dermatologist in advance as the process involves some preparation. You have to stay away from waxing for at least 1-2 months before laser therapy, similarly, an analysis of skin in advance is very important as some people have really sensitive skin. Laser hair removal therapy is indeed a gift to all those who have excessive body hair either naturally or because of some hormonal imbalance like PCOS. Having a shiny and smooth skin is everyone’s right. Visit your nearest dermatologist soon to get a customised treatment that is both cost effective and safe.
