Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Before giving any opinion or suggestions I need to know: 1)since how long you been on insulin? 2) what other drugs are you taking for controlling blood glucose? 3) what is your weight & height? 4) what is the amount of daily exercises that you do? 5) what is bp reading and lipid profile? 6) what is current fasting, pp glucose and hba1c%? Since you have diabetes for 30 years, it is most likely all the beta cell activity (cells that produce insulin in pancreas) might have completely stopped. In that situation oral drugs are unlikely to have any benefit. Only recent drugs like sglt2 inhibitors may be beneficial. But insulin needs to be continued. If you have any questions please come back with all the details mentioned above. Thanks.
