My baby girl age is 1.3 years. She got rashes in the scalp. First it appeared at only one place but after 4 days it appears in other two more places. We applied turmeric twice in starting of this skin problem. Yesterday night once we applied sofinox ointment as general. Today it appeared in three two places. What is this disease? please give medications to cure this skin problem.

The symptoms seem like seborrhea. A picture would be helpful. Once diagnosis is confirmed a zinc containing shampoo or steroid lotion depending on the severity maybe started.

This is seborrhic dermatitis. Use ketoconazole shampoo (dango shampoo, nijral etc) twice weekly for 3 weeks. Plus apply clotrimazole cream (imidil, surfaz cream etc) twice a day on the affected areas on the scalp till it disappears. All the best. In such conditions do share images as well.

U can mix arnica q and jaborandi q in equal quantities. Apply on scalp with the help of cotton. Wash hair next day. Do it twice a week. Homeopathy is a very effective for this problem n has very encouraging results. And homeopathic medicines are safe and do not have any side effects at all. Safety of the medicines is a major issue when you are to give any medicine to your child.
