Hello Your dentist must have made you aware of the existing condition of your tooth and any more treatment needed after a temporary filling was placed. You need to go back to a dentist and get yourself examined for understanding the cause of pain and the treatment needed.

Dear lybrate-user, if the cavity was filled with temporary filling material, then your dentist would have asked you for the follow up visit to get it permanent. Get a X ray done for the tooth and depending upon the X ray report your dentist will advice you for permanent filling or other treatment options to save the tooth.
