Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. The fasting level mentioned (90 to 110 mg) is fairly normal, because usual normal level is 70 to 100 mg/100 ml. Level between 101 to 125 mg is considered as pre-diabetic (impaired fasting glucose). PP 141 to 199 mg is also considered as pre-diabetic. Plus HbA1c% above 5.7 is also prediabetic. Therefore, if your glucose levels are going higher than normal on eating sweets, then it is better to avoid those. Plus check your PP and HbA1c%, that will give a clearer idea. Thanks.
