It is better to show it to a Breast Surgeons a Surgical oncologist. They would take a detailed history and examine you and if need be, ask for an ultrasound examination. There are chances of Galactocele, which is inspissated milk after stopping Breast feeding, which if significant may need aspiration, cold compresses and rarely medication to dry up the milk like bromocriptine. Fibrocystic changes are also very common and are common cause of breast pain especially cyclical in young age. Some times some of the cysts may enlarge causing a lot of pain, which need to be aspirated. Also they need to rule out other causes of pain like ill fitting bra, trauma, abscess, costichondritis, musculoskeletal pain, pain of cardiac or lung origin amongst a few.
