I was eating at a restaurant and the server had scabs on her hands, but she never directly touched my food. The cook also wasn't wearing gloves (couldn't tell if he had scabs or cuts on his hands). I ate my food, and about 3 hours later after doing some strenuous exercise, I tasted a little bit of blood in my mouth (from breathing hard). Can Hep C/HIV survive in my throat for 3 hours, and could I get Hep C/HIV from this?
