Hello- Yes it can. Duphastone is a synthetic derivative of Progesterone hormone. Hormonal changes due to Duphaston use can result in acne, breast tenderness or enlargement, changes in sex drive, fluid retention, spotting between periods and weight gain.

Duphaston is a brand of synthetic hormone -dydrogesterone, that is similar to the naturally occurring female steroid hormone progesterone. Progesterone is produced in a women's body during her menstrual cycle so she develops a healthy womb lining. Usually women take it to resume bleeding when periods are absent; manage irregular bleeding caused by hormonal imbalance; ease painful periods not caused by a specific condition such as fibroids or infection; and treat endometriosis.
