I am 34 years old Female, suffering from diabetes last 2 years. Currently, I am on medicines but quite afraid that whether theses medicines will affect my kidney after some year. Please advise delaying this damage.

Madam, if diabetes is not well controlled in other words if blood glucose is not well controlled with fasting < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% <6.8, then that will lead to multiple long term complications. Anti-diabetes drugs are absolutely safe. There are patients using them for 25 to 0 years with out any side effects on any of the vital organs of the body. Whereas if diabetes is uncontrolled then it damages our eyes, kidneys, heart, lower limbs and nerves. So in the long run it is the disease that causes damage not the drugs. So please do not worry. Thanks.
