My 2.5 months old baby girl while breast feeding, milk comes from nose. This is happening from last one week. Please suggest.

This is called reflux-the valve at d end of food pipe joining d stomach is weak and so they vomit from nose and mouth please check babys wieght -if wt gain is good doh worry burp after breast feeding and keep head end elevated while sleeping -vomiting will stop after baby grows 6-8 months.-vomiting

Many times infants after taking feeds regurgitate milk. So some milk may come out from mouth and as there is a connection some might come from the nose as well. There is no need to panic. Just burp the child properly after each feed for 10 to 15 mins and avoid laying the baby down immediately after feeding.

If regurgitation through nose is regular feature, it is advisable to consult pediatrician in person. If it is occasional, change the posture of baby by taking care to keep head side raised.
