I am a 58 years old female. I take about 750 ml of curd a day. Is it necessary to take calcium supplements? I heard calcium supplements are not good for heart health. I have high BP and other heart issues (HCM).

Hello, According to Ayurved having this much of curd is not good for your body. It may damage your digestive power. It contains calcium. But there r many other foods which will give you calcium like spinach, bananas, milk, etc. The calcium absorbing capacity decreases with age. It has not much relation to heart health if consumed in right disease.

Taking so much curd in a day will lead to high BP, as curd is HOT in potency. Please cut down on curd and focus on other sources of calcium. Taking daily curd is not recommended as per ayurveda.
