Hi doctors My mother Kamala age: 55 She has severe pain in her right leg From past 10 years she has been suffering from acute spondylitis during which she has severe pain in right hand But now it's not there. She has pain only in her right leg This pain started some 10 months back when she was suffering from chicken gunya fever She has not consulted any doctor. She is 4.9 in height 62 kg in weight Please help me out to know which specialist I need to concert Orthopedic or neurosurgeon.

- kindly tell what treatment had been taken for cervical spondylitis till so far. - for cervical spondylitis, there is neck exercises after hot water appllication.- if swellling is there than need for physiotherapy ultrasound, ift - she also having leg pain, you hadnot mentioned cause of it as cervical spondylitis os neck pain only.- she might be having low back pain also. - check her vit D, B12, uric acid levels. As deficiency of these vitamins will make her bones and muscles weak day by day, increasing her arthritis condition which may even lead to fracture in later cases. As a precaution: 1 avoid heavy weight lifting 2 avoid any jery movement to spine. 3 use of lumbar belt or cervical collar.- if her pain is more kindly go for physio sessions as soon as possible.
