Hi, Thanks for writing in, welcome to the forum. You must definitely meet a psychiatrist. Why? For the simple reason that this is a known psychological problem. Part of the problem is that one feels that the threat is real and hence does not recognise the utility of a psychiatric intervention; but the reality is such an intervention is useful and invaluable! Besides these theoretical points, in my own practical experience we have treated a number of such clients. So not only should you not hesitate, rather you must seek help at the earliest to avoid unnecessary prolongation of suffering. Take care!
