I was doing yoga for spine. The yoga follows by lying flat on stomach and lifting the legs one by one. I did this yoga in morning. After that I am having pain in the back lower waist. Its like the pain is only in the muscles. I can sometimes feel the pain even by breathing. My question is that is this pain normal?

Dear lybrate-user Pain is a warning signal. If it lasts more than few hours you should be cautious and get it treated. Maybe be you have pulled a muscle. So apply ice for 20 minutes every hourly. You should recover in a day or two.

If you are doing yoga for the first time or after a long time then the pain is OK provided you don't have a history of back pain. Or else wait for some days for the pain to subside by applying hot packs and rest.
