I have gerd gastro esophageal reflux disease since 2 years. I have throat and heart burn Doctor advised me to use tab yashtimadhu of Himalaya But I heard that this tab contains high sugar level My weight is above 100 My sugar levels are normal Can this tablet cause diabetes in long-term usage.

In many cases a minor change in the basic lifestyle can bring about a big change in the chronic problems. Try using only whole grains and simple easily digestible food items .(More of fruits and vegetables). Have small portions of food at a time. Do not lie down after having food. Have a glass of water 30-45 mins before any meals. Walk slowly for 10 -15 mins after a meal. Learn yoga and do it regularly. If you adopt a healthy life style you will not develop diabetes!
