Hi, Your mother has a gall stone in the neck of the gall bladder and not kidney stone. Gall stone in the neck of the gall bladder block the passage completely giving rise to severe coliky pain in the right upper abdomen. As the stone size is quite big, it is better to get operated at the earliest before it completely blocks the neck of the bladder.
