I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism around 2 months ago. Have a look at my previous report http://i.imgur.com/9QTQrDt. Jpg.My doctor prescribed me thyroxine Sodium 75 mcg tablets and advised me to get another fT4/tsh test done after 1 months of taking this tablet. But due to some problems I didn't go for the test and now after two months I noticed a little increment in the swelling of my thyroid gland. So I want your advice regarding test and medicine dose adjustment or some medicine to be added or remove from previous one. So please tell me with details Should I go for a free T4/TSH test? Any medicine to be added or remove from this? Your advice.

Mr. lybrate-user, I can not access your earlier report in this communication. It is possible to see only when report is uploaded in a private conversation. It is always advised to get a repeat TSH test done after 6 to 8 weeks of starting treatment, to check if the dose give is adequate or needs any alteration. On treatment TSh should be maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L, then only all he symptoms are well controlled. Thanks.
