Heel pain is most coolly due to achilles tendinitis (inflammation of tendon at back of heel) don't worry as in most cases it responds to lifestyle changes and medicines. Management: 1. Rest to the foot for 1 or 2 days. 2. Apply ice pack for 10 minutes 3 to 4 times a day. 3. Apply compression bandage to reduce swelling. 4. Keep feet elevated at night time by placing pillow underneath. 5. Take analgesics like paracetamol or ibuprofen for relief. 6. Once pain is relieved you can start stretching exercises of calf muscles. 7. Use a shoe insert or wedge to relieve stress on tendon. 8. If pain is persistent and severe please consult.

Hi lybrate user, good morning. There is chance for this to be plantar fascitis, achilles tendinitis, sprain, etc. Please consult orthopedic for diagnosis and follow his instructions. Use slippers in home, don't walk with bare foot. Early morning immediately after you wake up dip your feet in tub of warm water with little salt in that (if possible take crystal salt) and do ankle, toe movements. In middle of the day, sit in a chair, take cold water bottle, keep your feet on bottle and roll it with your feet. Walk in sand near beaches, rivers if available. Do stretching and strengthening exercises for calves, plantar fascia. Still you have a pain take ultrasound therapy from a physiotherapist for 6 to 8 days followed by exercises.
