Hi I am diabetes type 2 from 6 years and I am taking zitamet plus 20/500 morning only. I am not gaining weight. As my height 5.10 and weight 60 kg. My sugar level is before 110 and after meal 230 and hb1ac was 9.any b12 deficiency or need to change tablets. please give suggestion.

Blood sugar control is monitored with the help of hba1c. Your target hba1c should be less than 7. For that you need to either increase the dose of existing medicines or add another medicine .contact a physician for guidance regarding the same. You also need to further intensify lifestyle modifications like diet and physical activity, if possible. Get your vitamin b12 level checked to find out if there is any deficiency.
