I 27f and have central diabetes insipidus secondary to a pituitary adenoma, for which I take daily desmopressin 60 g, I also have hashimoto's for which I take levothyroxine (25 g for now. I haven't been feeling well lately, anxiety, irritability and headaches has been at an all-time high, with an inability to fall a sleep I was wondering if this may be due to severe dehydration and hypernatremia, and I would like to know if not drinking water will cause any damage in my case. Thank you.

Dear lybrate-user, with your medical illnesses, it is better that you consult your physician and get appropriate blood tests to confirm dehydration and sodium level changes. Yes, not drinking water can cause damages in your case. But they are correctable.

Yes definitely when you are on any type of medication you need more water to body. And also generally you need at least 4-6 litres per day to keep you hydrated.
