I'm having something stuck in throat feeling after swallowing medicines. I've currently started visiting a dermatologist for treatment. He gave me medicine and I told him that I can't really swallow medicine because of that feeling. But he told me that medicine should be taken as advised. So the medicines i've been given now can I crush them mix with spoonful of water? So can you tell me that the medicines i've been given now can be crushed or not? Current medications: sporlac ds minocycline hydrochloride usp tablets (vicyn 50) levocetirizine dihydrochloride tablets.

Kindly check your throat by an ent doctor and take treatment. Many of the tabs have a coating to protect its contents from acidity of stomach or to protect the user from the very bad taste of the medicines etc-so crushing will affect the quality of such drugs —capsules also have a gelatine cover with similar purpose.
