I am am 34, was staying in uk for 2 years. After returning back to india I suddenly found creatinine level 2.07, though I never had any kidney disease so far. Usg whole abdomen showed cortical echo raised both side kidneys. Urine culture showed no protein. Nephrologist suggested omnacortil 30 mg for 2 weeks, then taper it to 25 mg which reduced creatine to 1.49. After tapering it to 20 mg it didn't improve, so Dr. Suggested again 30 mg for 2 weeks. However after 2 weeks I found creatinine increased to 1.52 from 1.49. Is it normal? Now Dr. Has asked to take nefrosave two times after meal. I have normal sugar, pressure level with normal weight. I am facing coughing while eating and drinking most of the time, Dr. Is saying its side effect of omnacortil. Should I go for biopsy?
