Hi, doc, I have had type 1 diabetes since 13 years and am taking 3 times insulin injections per day. Dosage: breakfast lunch dinner insugen r 6 6 6 insugen n 10 14 units I want to gain weight (6 kgs) & free from discomforts of hypoglycemia & hyperglycemia body & mind & emotional. Currently am 60 kgs and height is 170 cms tall and 26 years. One thing I observed is during lunch time I takes insulin injection at 3 / 4 pm then lunch but still after sometime I feel hungry and not in energy mode. Please guide.

Best is to take injection lantus at night and injection nova rapid three times daily.

You are likely having subtle hypoglycaemia in late afternoon. U should talk your endocrinologist and be under regular followup.

A basal insulin such as Toujeo or Tresiba or Lantus once daily in place of insugen n. Instead of insugen r apidra or fiasp would be a better option .
