I have question on sciatica treatment for my mother who already had a steroid injection and various physio therapies without any benefit. Could Dr. mohinder kaushal please advise on surgical option and cost related to this. I can send latest mri reports for reference. Thanks aman.

According to me surgery is not required. I can assure you if you consult a good qualified physiotherapist you will not have any issues at all. What I can suggest you is 10 days of intermittent pelvic traction followed by interferential therapy further to that sciatic nerve stretch, however stretching hamstrings, calf and quadriceps muscles will definitely help for better improvement. I can also suggest you accessories like lumbo sacral corset and also mcr chappals which will definitely help her to improve the abdomen tone and also the mcr chappals will help you to distribute the body weight evenly which is falling on the inflamed back.
