The condition of sciatica causes you to suffer from sciatic nerve pain with symptoms like hip pain, weakness, numbness, lower back pain and so on occurring in an affected individual. The main cause of it is the irritation that nerve roots present in lumbosacral spine and lower lumbar regions of the body. There are also other causes that may lead to this condition and there are muscle spasms that occur in the back or bottoms, pregnancy, degenerative disc disease and spondylolisthesis. In addition to typically occurring on the lower half of the body, the pain can also be felt in the feet or toes.
