I am unable to belch normally after the meal and I will force to expel it. I consult a doctor and found gastritis in antrum of stomach by endoscopy. Doctor prescribed me to take pantocid hp pack. After taking the medicine for 4 days, I am still facing problems like unable to belch normally and feeling bloating in the stomach. Should I do any change in taking food?

Hi Mr. lybrate-user, yes, you have to change your food habits since you are already diagnosed as gastritis in antrum of stomach. The first and foremost important factor is do not skip meals, take food 3 to 4 times per day excluding snacks. Avoid spicy foods as it can aggravate your condition. Take food items that are rich in fibre like green leafy vegetables, fruits etc. Minimise the white and red meat quantity if you eat non-veg, include more fish rather than meat. Avoid carbonated drinks. Take food on time. Try to avoid tea/coffee, instead you can have warm milk. Take your prescribed medicine 15-20 mins before having food. Thanks.
