My girlfriend suffers from intense body ache (usually waist downwards) and pain in the back of her neck and elbow a day before her period starts. In few cycles she had reported that the pain was unbearable. Is it normal or something alarming? Also is it normal to have blood clots in menstruation blood?

Hi the body ache and pain in back of neck or elbow a day before periods is normal if she experience this in every cycle, it is adviced to take some analgesics if she is having an unbearable pain, some people do have blood clots during menstruation if they are having heavier cycle ,it will be good to consult someone once regarding the problems to have a better clarification.
