I used expired tenovate cream to relieve from itching, however it made the area more itchy, red and inflamed. Started taking levocetirizine 5 mg tab and applying fresh tenovate cream but i'm not seeing any results. What can be done?

Hi! itching is a very generic symptom in dermatology. It is due to various reasons depending on the age, sex, skin type ,environmental changes like air ,water ,internal health issues etc. Only depending on the cause ,we can suggest proper treatment ,which can be done after thorough examination. Mean while, use a good moisturising cream to entire body to prevent dryness. Please consult online or have direct consultation with your local dermatologist for best advice and treatment. Follow some tips -1) limit your bath time to just 5-10 minutes 2) apply oil before bath 3) use only luke warm water for bathing and only mild soap 4) use doctor prescribed moisturiser at least 5-6 times a day 5) keep nails short 6) wear full sleeves loose cotton clothes 7) avoid contact with irritants and detergents 8) avoid dust and dry weather and mites.

It may be fungal infection. Do not use tenovate.
