I am a healthy 25 year old female with no comorbidities. I had a mild infection of cavity (had general medicine like dolo, multivitamins, zinc, doxycycline, montek lc). Today is my 23rd day and I have no symptoms now apart from very mild fever (99 to 99.4). However I have developed small red allergic itchy bumps on my body, for which I have prescribed omnacortil 2.5 mg (to be taken for 5 days). I have read that steroid use in covid/covid recovered patients can cause mucormycosis (even days after recovery). So is omnacortil 2.5 mg safe? Shall I take it?

It doesn't cause mucormycosis in all patients. The main population who are susceptible are the one who have diabetes. And they have watch for signs like watering from eyes, decresed vision, growth in mouth etc and is also most commonly due to i.v .use of steroids. So do not worry. U can take it.
