Dental cavities is a dental condition which can lead to formation of holes and ridges in the teeth. The bacteria feeds on the leftover food which are rich in sugar and starch. These bacteria through a process convert the leftover food into acid. This leads to a formation of a sticky substance called plaque to form in the ridges and cracks of the teeth. If left untreated, it can lead to tooth erosion and loss.
