I twisted my ankle while playing badminton and then my whole body fell on that twisted ankle. It swell up just after 30 minutes. I did an x-ray, no fractures. Doctor advised to get a plaster on for 1 week. I did that, the plaster was a weak one (the hard portion was only on the back side of my foot and leg, rest all was covered by bandages and cotton). After 1 week, I cut off the plaster but I still can't walk without limping. The swelling is more or less gone but it hurts whenever I put weight on it. The pain and a little bit swelling is on the outside of the ankle joint. Please advise. It's been 10 days since the injury and I still can't walk properly.
