Rhinitis is the official term for a stuffy nose. Chronically, it is caused by 1. Allergies, 2. Vasomotor activity, or 3. A side effect of medicines. Allergies are by far the most common. Vasomotor rhinitis is a nerve reaction to a smell, dust, etc which causes the blood vessels to dilate. Kindly use antihistamines, and montelukast for allergy, meet en ent specialist to rule our deviated nasal septum. Steam inhalation twice a day is helpful. If it still is not responding to treatment meet a physician for through examination.
