I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2002. Was treated by a gastroenterologist for 8 years without any positive results. In 2007 I was given steroids for the treatment. Developed dvt and pulmonary embolism and was in icu for some time. I was told to take clexane 40 mg injection (blood thinner) daily. I started gaining weight (2008). In 2008 I started ayurvedic treatment and was very satisfied with the outcome. I continued with clexane injections till 2017 as I lost touch with doctor and was happy as this combination (ayurved and clexane injections) eased my colitis symptoms. I had gained significant amount of weight (almost 7 kg). After stopping my injections in 2017, after some months, I started experiencing bowel discomfort and ibs like symptoms. I started feeling very lethargic and tired all the time. My bowel became very sensitive and discomforting. In july 2019, I suffered from diarrhea and started losing weight. Diarrhea stopped after ayurvedic treatment but weight loss continued. Till today, I have lost almost 8 kg of my weight since then and feel extreme fatigue. What could be the reason?
