I am an 18 year old female. When I was 15 I was diagnosed with epilepsy and was put on epilim cr300. After about 3 months being on this medication I started having very infrequent menstrual cycles. I went to see my general practitioner and they switched my medication from epilim cr300 to epitec. After about a month I started having a very heavy menstrual cycle that lasted for 8 days and after that I never had my period again. The last time I had my period was in november 2019 and in december 2019 I stopped taking my antiepileptic medication (i stopped having seizures). Present day (august 2020) I still haven't had my menstrual cycle since last year and I am really worried. I'm not sexually active and sometimes I have pain in my lower left abdomen. Please some information as what could be wrong and what I should do would be greatly appreciated.

Hello lybrate-user, you need to undergo a transvaginal ultrasound to rule out pcod. And go for thyroid function tests too. If some pathology is detected, we can move accordingly.
