Hello doctor, I was undergoing mdr tb treatment for around 2 years. The treatment stopped in december. Its been over 7 months. However the skin discoloration due to hansepran is still present. Could you suggest what could be done to gain back my original skin tone? Thanks for your valuable time.

Hi mam, good day, wish you good health, as the skin discoloration is present, and the history of mdrtb is present. And hansepran or clofazimine has side effect of skin discloration. Please do consult a skin specialist/ dermatologist, so that he guides you for the same, he might help you to rule out any other cause of skin discoloration. Also please ensure by talking to your treating physician or chest and tb expert, that mdrtb is controlled and keep a good followup. Thanks.
