I was having dermatitis-type skin on my scrotum for one month, which looked similar to lichen simplex. I applied soframycin for 1 week, then hydrocortisone for 3 weeks. 3-4 days back there was burning pain and wet oozing also. Since yesterday skin of the scrotum is peeling off. Pls tell me what is this disease. And what should I apply on the scrotum? And what oral medicine should I take?

Hi depending on the symptoms mentioned and your age, disease can be more towards irritant dermatitis or lichen simplex also. Fungal infections also need to be evaluated. Please try to post pics for better understanding the disease. As of now ,stop using all creams which can cause irritation. Use coconut oil 5 to 6 times a day on that area to prevent irritation. Don't use harsh soaps on that area. Give rest to skin for 4 to 5 days. Then depending on the condition will advice further.

It can be jock itch or fungal infection. The condition most often occurs when people wear tight-fitting clothing that traps in moisture. Wash the affected skin two to three times a day.
