Suffering from sinusitis since last many years. My age is 56. Surgery for deviated septum was done 20 years back. Now since last one year my nostril got blocked specially in night. I consulted ent doctor and taken oral medication like montair lc for one month but after discontinued medicine same problem. No abnormality shown in pns xray.

Hello lybrate-user. Hope you are safe. All of us have a physiological nasal cycle in which there are episodes of nasal obstruction 2-3 times a day and is considered as normal. But when this cycle is altered, one tends to have prolonged periods of nasal obstructions at odd times of the day. It could be due to a lot of reasons which can be best understood through a proper consultation. But one of them, could be a condition known as vasomotor rhinitis which needs proper diagnosis and management. As a radiological investigation, I would always suggest you to to for a ct scan in place of an x ray as it gives much more and finer anatomical details.
