Respected sir, I am 32 years old and was fit and fine till first week of march. I use to go to gym for last 3 years .on march three I started having bilateral pain in lower back while doing some exercises. X ray was done -dr said it reveals spasm in muscles. Prophylactically I did a mri limbo sacral spine on 3t machine. Only finding was loss of lumbar lordosis. I was advised muscle relaxant nucoxia Mr. twice for 14 days and ultracet twice daily with heat application. Then started corona period and my pain was not relieved at all. From mid of april. Pain changed in nature and I use to feel as if some one trying to pull my tail bone from inside along with it I use to feel as if my anal sphincter is tightly contracting. Some how went to Dr. mri sacro iliac joint .mri hip. Mri pelvis was done. All normal. But pain was so severe that I have to take nucoxia Mr. + ultracet+ pregabalin (even after that can feel pain. On 5 th may the doctor gave me 1 ml triamcilonone injection at coccyx area. Pain responded to it and completely vanished from end of tail bone and most other accompanying areas like muscles near by .spasm in anal area also gone. But even after local steroid injection. Pain of same intensity is there still at about a small part of causes 1.5 cm above it's end and is tender to touch. I visited a second specialist at forties hospital mohali and he said it will take time to go. Ask me to take diclo+ serratia twice for 10 days with ultracet sos. Use cushion .soft bed and sits bath 4 times a day for 1 month. He said it's the only treatment and I won't suggest any further steroid shot. While my specialist at small town said that he would repeat steroid shot after 21 days if pain persists. The doctor at forte said pain in coccyx would take time. What to do sir who is wrong and who is right? Doctor at forte who is treating me conservatively (i think he can't understand how much pain I feel). My local orthopaedic- who gave me steroid shot 5 days back and said he would repeat it after 21 days? 2) do coccygeal injury really takes so long? I feel pain even after taking diclo + seratio. Do have to take ultracet. 3) if coccyx is so tender to touch then why mri at a good hospital like forte reflected nothing? 4) whom to follow Dr. at forte (suggested me to use coccyx cushions every time. Maximum rest and sits bath 4 times for 1 month) or should I follow second Dr. and get a steroid shot after 2 weeks? I can feel pain in coccyx bone even while defecating. Any other test suggested?
