I am 66 years male and in 2015 treated for angioplasty with two stents, since than I have not any kind of heart related problem, only I am worried my blood sugar usually my fasting bg is 140-145 and pp is 154 by one touch glucometer, currently I am taking 500 mg sr metformin at morning and 200 mg at night, my hb1ac is 6.9.

Sir your blood sugars and hba1c is under good control. Please continue same medicine and concentrate on diet and physical activity. Also you need to do routine investigation like kft, lipid profile and also retina checkup.

Hello lybrate-user shankar ji your fasting blood glucose is little high but your hba1c is perfect. I do not think there is any change required in the treatment. You need to do daily exercise (45-60 min brisk walk, minimum 5 days a week) to maintain ideal body weight. But I need a detail on your blood pressure and you need to take a lipid lowering medication (compulsory in your case).

All are normal. Hba1 c are normal. Fasting is slightly raided p. P. Is normal. Life style modifications are first necessity take cap. Glycoomet sr 500 mg one daily after breakfast and dinner.

Kindly continue same drug and your hba1c level is with in normal limit one touch is not gud company glucometer so kindly change it with Dr. morpen glucometer.
