1 yr/female baby had c/o fever, cough & cold since 5 days. She was treated for same & is doing fine now. Her cbc with ps revealed as microcytic hypochromic anaemia with hb 8.9 % & mcv 61 fl. Cyanosis over tongue is being observed since 3 days. What is the probable cause for cyanosis & further management for the same? Thank you.

It is central cyanosis. Cardiovascular evaluation with echocardiogrphy is requited to rule out congenital heart disease. Blood examination for serum iron, ferritin &tsh is required.
