I am 27 years old, I am suffering from body ache and headache from couple of days. I had mild fever today though it felt like that, I didn't measure the temperature of my body along with pain near my kidney area, like lower right side of my back. I had rats in my house .there are rats poop lying but I have cleaned most part. I might have inhaled few dust during the process. I am just concerned since I came across hantavirus spreading from rats and also the current outbreak. I am really scared, please suggest me the remedy.

Mr. lybrate-user your concern is valid. First of all you should take care of this rodent infestation problem in your house and cover your nose and mouth while cleaning the rat droppings. As these diseases generally spread through inhalation or ingestion of rat secretions. Other than hantavirus there are other illnesses like leptospirosis and rickettsial diseases that can also spread through rats. Your symptoms feels like normal viral infection but many of these illnesses start as nonspecific symptoms like this. You can get your routine test done like cbc, kidney function test and liver function test to have a complete picture. If at any time you develop very high grade fever, jaundice or decreased urine output or breathlessness you should visit emergency.
