I always remain ridden with negative thoughts and under the fear of future. I am not enjoying my life even a bit. I can't concentrate on my profession which entails a good deal of concentration. I was (prescribed) on Venlor and Agildol by a psychiatrist for more than one year but still I am suffering. Please guide me. Is it feasible to get well without medicines in such cases ? Thanks !

Yes psychotherapy can also work but it is time consuming and costly so in india where doctor patient ratio is very poor usually psychiatrist use only pharmacotherapy which is not likely to completely cure depression. U need to further elaborate about how much dose of venlafaxene u were being given.

You need CBT/ Meditation/Excercise/Walking/breathing/milk/ balanced diet and you need to check your full blood tests. If not try counselling/Pdychiotherapy lastly try medications.
