Hi respected doctors, I was diagnosed with schizotypal before 2 years. From that time I am taking medicine regularly. At first I was taking risperidone and now I am taking arpizol as per doctor prescribed me. Now I am not taking medicine regularly, infact 5 days a week just, not regularly. I am feeling very good and better. So can you please let me know I should I stop it or it shouldn't be. Is there any side effects?

Medications stoppage can lead to relapse if symptoms which can happen after few weeks or months. If there has been a past relapse on stopping medications it is advisable to continue the same. Initial stoppage of medications can provide a sense of well being, but on longer run can be harmful. There are various factors which need to be taken into consideration before trial stoppage of medications. Discuss with your psychiatrist. Good luck.
