once root canal is done.,it should be permanent. sometimes infections from the gums can reach the  root ends and cause infections,which will sometimes require removal of the tooth itself!

Success rate of RCT is not 100% but most of the cases if done properly will last till the tooth last. No need to be repeated, but in case when there is another incidence of caries or periodontal infection it may reinfect and you have to go for retreatment.

Hello, root canal treatment if done properly it stays for life long also but there are always chances of it getting reinfected and that reinfection cannot be quoted in years. If you maintain proper hygiene brush twice use mouthwash and visit dentist once in a year to get it checked it will work wonderfully. And do get a crown on top of the root canal treated tooth. if root canal treatment properly done it will long term treatment.
it mandatory to cap your teeth after root canal because after root canal your teeth became like a dead tree which pronto fracture easily.
so to make your channel successful cap it.

It is permanent treatment. After rct you should get crown. Main the tooth, clean it properly & atlease every once in a year (every 6th month scaling is recommended) get scaling treatment.

a properly done rct may lasts for certain years and in certain cases for lyftime. But infection,trauma etc can occur anytime,then a rct may require repeatation.
