Dear, Capped tooth can be recapped. Root Canal Treatment depends on the present condition. If there is any pathology , RCT is must . Otherwise no need. Â
Ask Free Question
It is not necessary to repeat thee root canal treatment unless you are having pain with the said tooth. Tooth can be recapped but there are limitations to that. If there is extensive loss of tooth structure then your dentist may not be able to do the recapping. Also if there are any alterations in the tooth structure or filling then it is not advisable to use the same cap.Â

Hi, Root canal if done properly will stay for a life time. If not done properly, the tooth might give you pain again after putting the cap. Cap can be changed any number of times. The old cap should be cut out from the tooth & not pulled as pulling can damage the tooth beneath the cap.Â
Ask Free Question
It can be replaced. The status of the tooth has to be assesed with a x ray,to decide for re-rct or other line of mgt.Â
Ask Free Question
Dear, if the tooth is fine without any problem or pain then recapping of tooth doesnot need any re RCT.Â

No never. If it will reinfected then re rct needed with cap.Â
Ask Free Question
Ya of course caped tooth can b recaped. N it's n't necessary to do rct unless u have d problem with thaat teeth.Â

If the tooth structure is enough go for cap.Â
Ask Free Question
Ya. No need to go for Root Canal again. Most of the time a broken tooth without infection in the pulp.Capping can be done without Root Canal Treatment.Â
Ask Free Question
Yes we can remove old cap and then put new. You need repeat root canal treatment only if you have pain or abscess with that tooth and x ray shows that root canal treatment is not done properly.Â
Ask Free Question
Yes a recapping can be done . Root canal needs to be done only if the pulp or the blood supply is compromised. Â
Ask Free Question
Yes it can be re-capped and if its tender then perhaps most likely a re root canal is needed.Â

A capped tooth can be capped once again. You can even upgrade your cap if it was a metal-cermaic or even a metal cap (which was common a long time back) to the latest type of caps like zirconia and lava. The cap needs to be fabricated once again and if you are upgrading the cap, your tooth might need to be shaped a little for the upgrade. Regarding the root canal,if the root canal has been done perfectly once, it does not need to be repeated. The signs that indicate that you need a root canal again, is only if you have pain in the same tooth, which is quite rare. Hope your question was addressed well. Â

Depends. .If there is pain in the tooth or any sign of rc failure then rc is required.Recapping is required if any damage is there in cap.Â
Ask Free Question
Capped tooth can be re capped. And yes off course if root canal is done it will have better results, which actually will depend upon taking an x ray of the same tooth.Â
Ask Free Question
Yes it can b recapd but rct depends on the tooth condition after examination with xray.Â
Ask Free Question
If the root canal is properly done then no need for repeating but one needs to see the condition of your tooth now.Whether it is broken or chipped off. If the crown has just come out we can place it back again provided the tooth's condition is fine. Â

What is th reason for u to replace ur cap? it doesn't mean root canal is must.Until n unless if th particular tooth has pain.It depends. Sumtimes for crown n bridges we hav to do intentional root canal treatment.Or it might b due to any cariius lesions on abutment( supporting tooth) too.In order to protect th tooth. As it is close by cap permanently.Yeah! as u said.Cap can be replaced by another cap.Whr as root canal depends.Aftr clinical examination only.We cn confirm.Thank you!Â

We need to see your X-Rays first. Is there pain on the tooth? If the filling is intact and the tooth is asymptomatic we can crown the tooth.Â

Ya can be recapped. If there is no pain. In the tooth. No re root canal needed. Dr.HemantÂ
Ask Free Question
Yes.We can replace the crown if the tooth is in a good condition. And if rct is done before and thr is a problem. We can retreat it.We need to see tooth xray for that.Â
Ask Free Question
It is possible to recap the tooth. There are chances that if root canal treated tooth gets reinfected, root canal treatment is advised again.Â
Ask Free Question
Why u want to recap it ? If its paining then root canal has to be done again. If u want to replace it because u are unhappy with the appearance then it can be changed without repeating root canal.Â
Ask Free Question
You havent specified why u want to 're-cap' your tooth. Bt yes it can b done after proper x-rays n check up. If there s no problem with the RCT wch has been done, der s no need to do re- RCT. If problems like re-infection are there, then, re- RCT can be done after evaluation of the tooth condition.Â

Dear, Yes a caped tooth can be recapped, if the original cap gets broken. It is not necessary to do the RCT again, if there is no infection below the tooth. If there is infection below the tooth, you would definitely have lot of pain. Another condition is when the cap comes off with a portion of tooth crown then a bit of RCT with Post and Core Procedure (to rebuild the broken crown) for adequate strength for capping is required. So as per my knowledge your dentist has advised you this and chances are that he is right. Good Luck and God Bless.Â

It depends upon the tooth whether it has pain/tenderness or any problem, otherwise it can be recapped again.Â
