I am facing problem of anus itching, earlier I had piles but now it is fine from last six months .but this itching problem is worsening day by day. It started after I got cured from piles. My piles at that time we're at stage 2.please help. I use to apply mustard oil or sucral ano cream I feel better after applying but has been more than 3 months now .it is still not getting cured.

Hello Mr. Lybrate-User, perianal itching is a common problem. It is very annoying and often embarrassing too. The common causes of itching around the anal region are piles, fungal infection and intestinal worms. Hence kindly do not worry, it is not due to any major problems like cancer, inflammatory bowel disease or tuberculosis. You have mentioned that piles problem has been cured. So you need to cure fungal infection and worn infestation. You can start. 1. Tab zoocon once daily for 5 days and thereafter one tablet weekly for six weeks 2. Tab albendazole once at bed time for the days 3. Ointment betnovate for local application twice daily. Keep the area clean and dry. Avoid undergarments at night. You will find this improvement with medication.
